How are you guys programming your V1, to account for many new cars and their crash avoidance systems? I'm getting a lot of continuous false K-band hits. Esp, when traveling near new Lexus & Mercedes cars.

I have the X-band disabled.

This seems to work well for me on the two units I have here.

Firmware 3.8952 (new last week for the S2000) and 3.8945 (in the Expedition).
Factory defaults other than "b" down. 30 second mute on K band and unmute at 4 bars. Mute only, the arrows still come on.

Savvy mutes everything below 35mph (settable).

X-band is enabled. Ohio State Highway Patrol still uses X-band!

Newer V1's apparently filter these.

 

Filter was added s couple of years ago as I recall. My V1 used to go crazy with the traffic radar that's all over the roads here. They read the traffic speeds your GPS shows and the traffic babes tell you about on the radio every morning.

Still getting crazy number of false hits with the Valentine. Decided to pull the Passport 9500iX out of my Element and jerry rig it in my S2000. See how it goes.
