Hey folks, i have a viper 5902 installed on the MY07 and wanted to know if anyone knows how to set this feature up?

I want to the car to autolock when i drive it/ebrake is down and lock when the engine is off.

I had the viper 5901 on my civic and was able to set it up with the manual. Now it doesnt have that option on the remote and i wanted to know if anyone has done this. I called viper but they just told me to go to an autorized rep to get it fixed. I had a friend install but he has since moved. Any info would be great! I really dont want to take it in to get this feature install.

yes i know they are basically the save alarm but the manual and remote cant do/quote the same thing.

 

Sounds like you're looking for the ignition-controlled door lock feature. This feature will lock the doors 3-5 seconds after the car has been cranked, and will unlock when the ignition is turned off. I don't have a 5902 manual to tell you what menu it is in, but wherever you had it installed probably has a bitwriter and could do it pretty quickly.

 

Yea my friend installed it for me but he moved out of state and i cant figure out how to do it. Is there any way to do it with out a bitwriter?

 

It's not hard to do, bc on the newer alarms, the valet button is built onto the antenna. I just don't know what sequence and menu you have to go through to access it. If you can find a manual online, it should tell you exactly how to do it.

 

I still have the manual and it shows nothing. i am kinda dissapointed... might end up buying a bitwriter just to fix the issue.
