Wall mount for DVD player
Hey guys-
I am getting a little LCD TV for the bedroom. It will be mounted on the wall. I have a DVD player that I will be hooking up to it, as well as my Directv box. I was wondering if there is a clean way to mount these to the wall (under the TV, maybe angling down a bit) and still hide the cables for a clean look. I know I can rip out the sheetrock and run the wires, but that is a little too in depth for this project. I am thinking of a wall mount shelf that can be angled down a bit and can be mounted to a stud in the wall.
I was thinking something like this, but not as UGLY
Rubbermaid Shoe Rack
I guess the main thing I am trying to accomplish is to have the LCD on the wall, with no ugly cords in view. I would like to avoid using wire consealers, as they never completely get rid of the wired look.
Thanks
John

I kinda solved my own problem. I decided to get an LCD with a built in DVD player and just shell out the extra $. I still need a solution for my Directv box (Samsung model). Its much smaller, and should be a lot easier.

I just got a 42 inch plasma, i'm getting a tiny entertainment unit that will look nice at the bottom of the wall and i'm gonna run the wires through the way.. its actually pretty easy to run the wires.. you just have to get over the idea of putting a hole in the wall and make sure you get it in the right place.
I have pretty much determined there is no real way to hide the wires without opening up the wall. My chest of drawers is to the right of the TV (about 6"), so I think I will just get a pre-primed piece of metal conduit / wire concealer and just make that short run, allowing the wires to be hidden behind the chest.
