Default What is the best way to patch a hole in firewall?

I just installed a amp and car alarm and was wondering what is the best way to patch up a hole in the firewall? The hole isnt to big but I would like to cover it up with something just in case any water/heat gets in. Does anyone know what a good material to use to patch it up?

Thanks!

ideally you would put a grommet in the hole to protect the wires from
the metal, then I personally would use silicone caulk, though the
professional installers might have other suggestions.

What size is the hole?

Phoenix Gold (and I'm sure other manufactureres sell plastic compression fitting jsut for that purpose. the fitting has two treaded nuts. One is to secure it to the fire wall, and the other is the compression fitting with a rubber seal to seal up the wire.

any good Auto stereo place should have one. Of course you will have to disconnect the wires on one side to feed them through
