What do I do now?
First off, I know nothing about the wiring of sound systems. I have 2 amps in my trunk, along with a trunk enclosure with a 12-inch sub in it. The car originally came with an amp in the trunk hooked up when I got the car from the dealership, but I needed an additional amp to accomodate the subwoofer with the new stereo deck. I wanted to replace the stock deck. Why do u think there was an amp in the trunk originally? Well, I want to take out my subwoofer and sub enclosure so I can shed some weight and be able to fit more stuff in my trunk. I also noticed when Best Buy hooked up my sound system, they ran a thick wire hooking up to my car battery terminal. Now since I took out my sub and unwired it, do I need to take out that additional amp I had to get and just keep the original one? Or should I still use this amp in order to accomodate my new deck I got so Im able to play my music at a loud level? I'm using stock speakers too. Or at this point, it serves no purpose to have that other amp/s? Im keeping the stereo deck though. In other words, am I able to play music louder without blowing out my speakers using 2 amps even though Im not hooked up to a subwoofer?
