What do you do with stock tweeters when installing coaxials in the door?

i don't know how we got so far off topic...

in the month since i've gotten my Passport 8500 (which has a voltmeter display option), i've been seeing mostly 13.9V in both of my cars... i had always heard 14.4V as well, but now i'm seeing a measured disagreement. it's funny though to watch the voltmeter dance as the sub hits...

well, those aren't the MTX amps i was thinking of... i had seen several recent MTX amps of late, and most seemed to be more bling bling than go. but i'm honestly just not familiar w/ the MTX line enough to say "great amp!" or "what? that POS?" or something inbetween. and having birth sheets that show more power than the on the box rating isn't a bad thing... usually it's a good sign, depending on how much over the offical rating you are... my poor Kicker ZR-240 is rated at 240Wrms x 1 @ 4 ohms, and the birth sheet shows 363Wrms x 1 @ 4 ohms. at 2 ohms, it's up from an official 300Wrms to 454Wrms. for that reason, the ZR line of the Kicker amps are supposed to be highly sought after amps.

and i don't think you made a bad choice in going w/ mostly Eclipse stuff, but doing a little experimentation with other brands isn't a bad thing... you might even end up back w/ Eclipse and even more happy about the choice. unlike women, if you have doubts about what you've chosen, your old gear won't leave you if you try new gear out... even if you take it home for a couple of nights and give it a test drive...
