I'm going to put an amp in the trunk and I was curious to see if anyone wrote out their wire mapping or has suggestions.

I'm thinking I'll tap the battery go thru the firewall in that hole behind it and route it passenger side under the kickplate all the way back.

Care to enlighten me?

Thanks

Hi lucid!

Check this thread:where to run speaker wire to make it look professional?

If you run into problems... let me know, or post it here!

Have fun!

Guys,
Where's the cleanest ground point for an amp in the spare wheel?

Check the post for the spare tire mount...if it's metal, it may be the largest ground there (just make sure it isn't separated from the body by plastic).

I ran my wires through the center console. Take off the center console (part with shift boot, cupholder, etc.) and pull off the radio door. You can run wires from the radio and/or battery through here. The wires run to the left or right of the shift lever. Move the foam out of the way on the side you are running. The wires follow the other wires that go through there to the trunk area. At the rear of the console you will see black corrugated tubing, that the wires reside in, going toward the trunk. You can buy split loom at Radio Shack which is very similar tubing that's split down the side, to run your wires in. First fit the loom (black corrugated tubing) around the wires you wish to run and then push it through to the trunk. Take out the spare to gain access to the other side.
