sub in the toolwell (tool tray removed), amp in the spare tire area.

it's rather pointless to keep the spare tire if you fill the well in the trunk, as you'd have nowhere to put the damaged tire.

I have one mounted where the spare used to be on an amp rack) and I can barely hear it. Is it better under the seat?

Yup, Bass600. I tried to mount mine in the trunk as well, and it didn't sound good at all. So we moved it under the seat, and it was totally worth it.
