ok second time in two months that the system just goes back to the preview channel first time it took x-m four days to fix it and now they say the "brain" may be dead??

it's a pioneer 9?? that connects directly to the HU.. tried reseting it to no avail.. the good guys at circut city said they can take it out and try there demo but because i didn't spend the extra $100.00 on buyer protection they have to check with the head office to just swap it out...

anyway anyone else have problems like this

how long you had it???

 

five months.. had to go back to circut city and buy the "extended warrantee" for fifty bucks and the guy just swaped out the brain..

 

did the new tuner work?

 

yup haven't had a prob in a week.. they swapped out the brain (sat receiver). I love x-m when it works

 

i love mine too. im actually an installer for best buy in NY. my tuner also went bad and unfortunately its still at pioneer getting repaired. 3 weeks and counting its good to hear that they took care of you. i always buy our service plans they really are a deal, however the system was given to my by xm to demo there product and a service plan was not available.

 

i would have never considered a service plan before cause the unit was brand new but now for the extra fifty bucks it's well worth the four year protection good luck with your system
