Wires through the A/C vents?
I'm sorry, no absolutely nothing about hooking up electronics in a car. I have the new Sirius portable unit. I want to know whether or not it was possible to run the antenna and 12v wires through the A/C vents?
That way the wires would be hidden and I can hook my Sirius unit to the A/C vent w/ custom hinges that allows it to hang. Is this possible?
thanks

im sure its possible, but you are going to have to remove most of the dash to drill some holes in the vent tubing so you can terminate your connections.
I have removed a couple of S2000 dashboard now and am familiar with what it looks like behind there - whilst your idea sounds a simple solution - its actually fairly complicated to execute.
Also, theres the obvious problem of the cold temps of the AC in the summer and the hot air from the blower in the winter - both on the wiring and the back of the Sirius unit.
There are plenty of other stealth installs that you can do - although if you can find an easy way of doing this
to you.

I ran my V1 remote through there and mounted it in the air vent - its been fine there for 2+ years. I don't use the a/c or heat often, but when I do I direct it at the feet. Living where I do, top-down year-round, I'd aim it for the feet anyhow - with the top down the hight vents just blow away anyow. Plus roasting/cooling just my feet is enough to make the rest of my body comfortable. At worst I can just tighten down the right vent and leave the left one open.
I already had the dash off to install my qube controller so at that point it was easy to run. If I remember correctly, the piece behind the vents just unscrewed, and allowed me to lift out a few of the vent flaps without damaging them. Here is an old pic showing it, to the right of the wheel:
