Does anyone have a wiring diagram with the engine sensors, or more specifically engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor? Looking to connect a PLX water temp gauge, and would prefer to use the oem sensor because of the location, and also the simplicity of not needing another sensor.
Trying to find out if I can connect the gauge somewhere inside the car, or if I need to pull another wire directly from the sensor through the firewall.

Shouldn't it be possible to hook up the PLX gauge to the OEM sensor as also the sensor that came with the gauge is a 5V sensor? Any reason I can't tap the OEM signal?

 

The PLX & OEM sensor do not share the same calibration.
