I've got the roady2 and although it's not been set up correctly yet, I will be running the power/antenna wire up the windshield post on the drivers side and afixing the roady2 itself to the back of the drivers sun visor. Depending on the method, I may do cutting and embed the unit. The antenna square will sit on the dash where the glass meets the dashboard and fixed there with a small square of 2 sided tape. The wire will be tucked in the crack and over to the drivers side post to go up to the sun visor.

I like the idea to take the unit in the house if I want to, so leaving the power/antenna leads in the card and just taking the roady2 off some velcro or whatever I choose to mount it with... Made more sense than installing the OEM/After market trunk units.

But i do not want to take XM in the house, I have the internet + I get to keep the songs. I wanted a clean installation, it was the reason I bought the new HU; that and I want to use the radio controls.

i'm thinking about upgrading my head unit thefore i may end up selling my oem x/m unit and mounting bracket

$225.00 for the x/m unit and bracket is fair

best part about the factory unit is that your dash controls still function

I have installed the Roady2 with a micro antenna (not sure of brand) on the trunk lid. I also used one of these to connect the Roady2 directly to the OEM head unit on my '04

doug,

how did you thread the wires from the trunk lid, and from the soundgate AUX in the trunk, into the passenger compartment for plugging into the roady?
