Default XM radio on a non ready ap2

So almost a week ago I bought my 2004 S2000 with 27,000 miles for 14k. I think I got a pretty good deal. That is until I drive it off the lot and try to put in one of my cd's and there is a cd already in there! but the cd will not come out. Tired of listening to our lame radio stations I won a 2006 head unit that is "XM ready" Are all the S2000's hardwired to have an antenna leading to the trunk? even ones that don't have an XM head unit stock?

I'd really like to get an iphone hook up and run XM in my car but I don't know how much trouble it will be. If i just need to get an antenna kit or if i have to pull up my dash and run wire and get an antenna kit on top of that.

Do you guys have any advice to a new s2k guy that loves his car but hates what he has to listen to? not including vtec

if you want XM radio and iPhone compatibility, just go aftermarket...everyone else will probably say the same thing, you're going to spend just as much (if not more) upgrading the stock radio...plus you'd then get a working CD player as well

I want to keep the dash controls. I've found a connection for iphone I'm just wondering how hard it will be to get xm. If there is an antenna wire heading to the trunk or not

No there isn't. The HU comes XM ready, meaning you can plug in the XM parts and it will play. However, you still have to mount the XM antenna and wire it up (to the loaction of your choice). It's not difficult and can be done within a half a day or so (less if you are more electronically and mechanically inclined).
