Default Your opinion on Polk Audio db5250 and db6500?

Hey guys, I'm looking at getting the S-Pod setup and then replacing the factory speakers up front at the same time. I was considering these speakers:

Polk Audio db6500
Polk Audio db5250

They got good reviews and Crutchfield has a killer deal on Polk Audio (buy one set get the second half off) so I could get them both for $289 shipped.

For now I'll be running them off of a Kenwood headunit, possibly off an amp in the future and they look like they've got pleanty of potential.

Thanks,
-Doug

I've got a couple of the MOMO's in my doors and they sound pretty good. I put the 5 1/4 MOMO coaxials in my S-Pods. They fit but had to back mount them due to the extruding built-in tweeter. You shouldn't have that problem w/ components. Beware that the Polk crossovers are big.

I can mount the crossovers under the seat or somethin though can't I? (Or wouldn't they fit behind one of those panels behind the seat?)

The 6500's are almost a direct bolt-in replacement. You may need to modify the tweeter to fit though. Also, there is a pocket in the door the the crossovers fit perfectly. Love them in my MY04.

I had to put a tiny notch in the tweeters to get them in the '03 pods, but 10 seconds w/ the dremel was all it took. You should have no problem putting the crossovers behind the seats. I didn't want to put mine in the doors because i was worried about the constant trama every time you shut the doors, but i'm sure that would work too.
