I'm in California, and I'm pretty sure here you are only allowed to have the EVAP monitor not ready, all others must be ready in order to pass. And of course we have visual inspection as well. I know this probably isn't really helpful information, but I swapped my stock parts back on, an reset my ECU to stock in order to pass my smog this week. It took me 2 days of driving for my readiness to set on all my monitors.

Are you still not getting the O2 monitor to set? I would start there, I believe it's just for the heater circuit (warms the O2 so it begins to operate sooner). I do not think that the Cat readiness will set without the O2 monitor set first. Also, the EVAP monitor needs the fuel tank to be between 25-75% full, any lower or higher and it WILL NOT SET. I do believe it takes 3 drive cycles for EVAP to set as well, so make sure that your ECU backup fuse is in and not blown.

Thanks Bunger78, done that too, appreciate the post but it is lost cause. 1200 miles were racked up trying to get the codes to clear, knowing all proper procedures and following them to the T many many many times. Replaced sensors, fuses, etc. It will not clear.

Hello, bringing this back to the top as I am also experiencing this same issue for 3 months now, I have replaced both upstream and downstream oxygen sensors, upgraded to latest version of FlashPro (also updated and reflashed the calibration with the suggested changes by Gernby, and completely followed the Honda recommended steps to set the readiness monitors, and after having driven over 1000 miles and many cycles, the three readiness monitors will not set. Hondata refuses to answer any questions about this on their board and locks any threads. Can anyone please help?

It's been a while since I battled this myself, but I was able to get the car to set all the readiness monitors. I think the first thing you need to figure out is why the O2 readiness isn't setting, because I think that normally happens fairly easily / quickly. After that, you'll want to follow this:

Evaporative Emissions Readiness
Enable Criteria:
Fuel level > 25%, < 75%
At engine start up, ECT and IAT are higher than 32*F but lower than 95*F
At engine start up, ECT and IAT are within 12*F of each other

Procedure:
Start the car COLD, test drive under stop & go conditions with short periods of steady cruise. After ~5 minutes turn the car off then proceed to the cat readiness cycle.

Catalytic Readiness
Enable Criteria:
ECT (Coolant) at 158*F or higher.
IAT at 20*F or higher
Vehicle speed is steady, and speed sensor reads more than 25mph

Procedure:
Test drive car under stop & go conditions with short periods of steady cruise.
During steady cruise, keep the RPM between 1500-3500, load between 25-65 kpa, AF variation < 0.05 lambda. If the AF swing is more than 0.05 lambda, which is not much variance, the test will abort.

Here are the fast and dirty descriptions from Hondata:

Catalyst - requires a working secondary oxygen sensor and good fuel tuning. Needs about 5 miles of stop/go driving with periods of steady cruise. If the cat is marginal it may take multiple driving cycles for this test to complete.

EVAP - requires a cold start, stop/go driving as warm-up and then 5-10 minutes of highway speed with steady throttle, without the engine being switched off.

Oxygen sensor - with a warm engine requires about 3.5 miles of driving including a 5 second period of deceleration with the throttle fully closed.

You should have a reply about some obvious issues.
