The lsu4.2 connector is around $20-25 by itself and they use high end DTM connectors and high end wire. If we could build something of equal quality cheaper we would. You can build it out of cheaper things if you want. I can get you the connectors if you want to build your own.

Really high dollar. Only thing missing is some sleeving and a $2 connector.
Wrong harness.

Won't plug into the AEM Infinity patch harness.

You need AEM 30-3600.

Don't be cheap when it comes to your engine wiring. Buy the right stuff.

IF you want to make your own, you're looking at about $30 just for wiring. Add around $10 for your DTM connector with the lock and pins. Add the price of the shrink tube / sheathing, then the sensor side connector... You'd be saving $10 at best by doing it yourself. Oh yah, and you'll need a Deutsche crimping tool for the DTM connector pins. Those are $200+. Even cheap Taiwanese ones are $35. It doesn't make sense.

I know that is a different harness. What I'm saying is the difference in the Infinity specific connector and some sleeving as it already includes the DTM connector and 8ft of AEM's own magical wiring.

the gauge wiring use a 5c connector, 10c wiring and 3c sleeve. The infinity stuff is much better quality since the infinity is designed to use this for real time feedback. Something goes a little wonky here and now your car is running like crap.

Hysterical. I'm going to use a patch cable with the same gauge wiring as the wideband sensor itself and my car is going to run like shit.

You wanted to know why the infinity harness was more. I supplied the info. Sorry to dissapoint. They use higher quality components when the ecu will be making fueling calculations based on those inputs.

Assuming a new o2 bung is welded into a stock exhaust is it feasible to keep the factory o2's for emissions test/ecu swaps and also install the AEM wideband for Infinity functions (closed loop feedback and afr monitoring)? I'm guessing the factory o2's would just be ignored for the most part with the Infinity installed.

I usually dont add a bung.. you dont want to leave a wideband sensor installed with out it being powered on, so if you swap ecu's back for inspection you'd want to remove the wideband anyway.

is the AEM serial gauge compatible with Infinity? also i know it has an "onboard AFR controller, what is needed to connect a wideband to it? Do i need to buy a Uego wideband kit or can i just buy Part Number: 30-2063 - Wideband UEGO Sensor with Stainless Tall Manifold Bung Install Kit - 4 Channel Wideband? thanks!
