UK AP1

AEM V2 with a AP1Cheif remote street tune and been on the dyno

100% happy with the outcome would recommend

( Previous tune from a well established place was just a tweek to the AEM base map )

Besides the KPro, which one of these options is able to throw the CEL? No emissions where I am but It'd be nice to have the CEL come on.

CELs should come through with the Greddy options

I selected Greddy. Mine is the Karcepts AP1 tune.

Apexi NEO here when NA, and used an adjustable fpr to add fuel and trim with the NEO and lower vtec. Still use that tuning system with my low boost SOS SC kit. Its easy, cheep and reliable, however there are some portions of the tune that I cant control which would further improve the overall quality. You just have to be familiar enough with the platform and understand where you are willing to make compromises. For me running a full EMS, and dependent/trusting in someone else to set up and tune it, while also relying on someone else to troubleshoot and maintain it is the biggest downfall for me. So I rather have more OEM systems in place that I can rely on, even if it means I don't have access to some portion of the tuning parameters and keeping my boost at lower levels.

Back on my 450whp SC set up I ran an Emanage for several years and maintained/tuned it myself. However it had some irregular behavior at times which made it difficult to rely on and finally decided it was time to move off of it.

Ecumaster classic for me. I had an AEM EMS v2 for 5 years but fancied a change. I got one with wiring loom adapter to plug and play in the factory location for around £1000. Good deal for an ecu that has VE tuning. Very impressed with it, road tuning has been a breeze.

I know this is about the non-DBW cars but for those lurkers still looking for a car note the 2006 and later DBW cars using FlashPro will cost "only" about $700 ($600 for the unit and $100 for the eTune). Still expensive for a normally aspirated car. But, then, these cars themselves are toys and "he who dies with the most toys wins!"

Default CT-E ACM

CT-E SC running stock ecu with CT-E ACM unit.

Looking into AEM infinity or the V2 as an upgrade.

PS Hope all is well Junky!
