When i turn on my car the maint light blinks 5 times then shuts off...What does this mean??? I have to do my oil cahnge??? I changed it at 22k i just didnt reset the system.....i have a 01 with 23k miles

 

That comes on every so many miles, and its just a reminder to change your oil. Look up Maintenance req light reset and you will find out how to turn it off.

I believe its every 15k miles and it will eventually become solid and annoying when driving

Its just a set maintenance light for those normal non car enthusiasts to remind them that they need to take care of their car if they havnt been doing so

THE FIX:

1. put key in
2. hold down the trip button
3. turn key to ON position
4. continue to hold the trip button until maintenance light disappears takes 15-30 seconds
