CEL with Haltech Pro Plug-in

CEL with Haltech Pro Plug-in
I recently removed my air pump and installed the Haltech Pro Plug-in ecu on my 2001 AP1. With the Haltech plugged in I get the DTC Code ‘P0172 – Fuel trim system rich bank 1'. If I plug the OEM ECU back in I just get the error codes to do with the missing air pump; 8-4 (Air Control Valve Circuit Low Voltage) and 6-0 (Air pump). I do not get P0172 with the factory ECU. Haltech suggested this was because my o2 sensor is missing - but it isn't. I do have a test pipe (without a CEL fix), but I this never caused a CEL with the factory ECU. I have cleared the error code several times, but it keeps coming back after the car has been running for a few minutes (when it’s warmed up).
Any thoughts?

There are a few things that will cause this DTC code, but the most obvious is that the base calibration is excessively rich and the o2 sensor cannot take any more fuel out to reach its targeted 14.7:1. If you disable the "zero throttle fuel map" option try it again and see what happens.
