Default CEL with Haltech Pro Plug-in

I recently removed my air pump and installed the Haltech Pro Plug-in ecu on my 2001 AP1. With the Haltech plugged in I get the DTC Code ‘P0172 – Fuel trim system rich bank 1'. If I plug the OEM ECU back in I just get the error codes to do with the missing air pump; 8-4 (Air Control Valve Circuit Low Voltage) and 6-0 (Air pump). I do not get P0172 with the factory ECU. Haltech suggested this was because my o2 sensor is missing - but it isn't. I do have a test pipe (without a CEL fix), but I this never caused a CEL with the factory ECU. I have cleared the error code several times, but it keeps coming back after the car has been running for a few minutes (when it’s warmed up).

Any thoughts?

Does the obd2 port work at all when you have your pnp plugged in? If so what exactly does it read?

Sorry, I didn't mention that this is an AUDM car. We don't have an obd2 port.

Thanks Evans - this worked! It still idles fine with the zero throttle maps disabled. What are these maps designed to do?
