Its the max power indicator light. It would be nice to somehow program it as a functional shift light
I always wondered if this "max power" light is smart enough to know if modifications actually change exactly where the "max power" is.

If it can. That must mean the ecu has an internal dyno program that is able to calculate hp. that would be awesome.

There's practically no way you can drive and DOHC Honda motor and NOT be able to tell when its engaged. ESPECIALLY on the S2k. Its impossible.
Except when your supercharged/turbo charged and your vtec is set at 4000 or so

the peak power indicator light on the cr is probably the stupidest 'extra' thing on the cr. for those of you with a cr and flashpro with raised redline, does the light no longer stay on after a certain rpm past 8,200?

One of y'all take apart your dash/cluster and examine it, it's not too hard.

Just don't be in a rush and don't break anything.

I personally like have the power level indicator. First off, its pretty cool, especially at night. The whole cabin flashs and lights of green, kind of cool.

The other thing is I have used it quite a few times as a shift light, and it works well. It flashes, then stays on, then it goes off right when you should shift. Every time I use the light as a shift light I always shift right at the redline, and never fall out of vtec. Maybe its a coincidence, but its nice. I can just use the light to shift and I don't have to look down. Without an intake or exhaust on the car, its hard to just shift by sound...

I installed Modifry's shift beeper to chirp the first beep at the moment the shift light comes on. The shift light then becomes a warning to the third beep from the Modifry beeper to actually be right at the redline.
