ECU swap questions?
I want to get a spare ECU to modify with FlashPro instead of my original CR ECU as I want to keep the original handy if I needed to go back to stock
I know I need to get a 06-09 ECU but I know that this is not a plug and play swap as the immobilizer will prevent me from starting the car unless I take it to Honda and have the 06-09 ECU reprogrammed.
Has anyone else done this before?
what else would I have to do to make everything work?
I know the mileage info is stored in the cluster but is any mileage info stored in the ECU?
I appreciate any help
thanks

just flash your current one. the flashpro lets you flash it back to stock whenever you'd like. if you wanted to go out of your way to source another ecu, what you would have to do is get it flashed at the dealer to match your immobilizer before flashing it with the flashpro.
Everyone says the CR ECU tune is the same as any regular 06+ ECU tune but the consensus with CR owners is that is actually different.
That is my reasoning to get and modify a spare ECU and keep the stock CR ECU.

The S2000 CR does not have a different ECU or calibration from any other S2000 of the same year. FlashPro return to stock will put the correct calibration back into the ECU.
If you do swap ECUs but the mileage is not stored in the ECU. You also will need to get it matched to the immobilizer, which then will then prevent the original ECU from working (until you go through the process of matching the immobilizer back to the original ECU).
