Default EMS V2 intermittent connection problems

I haven't datalogged my car in a long time. The last time I did, I remember it working fine. It was also tuned last year with no issues. Now, when I try to connect AEM Tuner to the ECU, it connects for a couple seconds, then loses connection for a second, then connects for a couple seconds, and the cycle repeats. I'm not sure where to start looking for issues. I've tried playing around with the cables to see if movement has any effect on it, but didn't notice any changes. Any advice?

Have you tried a different cable? That would be my first recommendation. I haven't experienced this with AEM yet, but I have had this issue with Cobb and TacTrix where the cable was the problem.

No, I haven't tried that. I think it's just a USB connector on both ends right? I'll have to pick up a cable today.

I didn't have any cables that match the EMS end connector, but I did have a serial cable that I tried. The same problem persisted with the serial cable. Any other suggestions?

Make sure AEM Tuner is updated to the latest and greatest and give it a try. If that does not work, it may be a hardware issue. Personally, I would save your maps to a separate location, uninstall and then reinstall AEM Tuner.
