Default F22 crank in ap1

Hi all, I’m in the process of rebuilding my ap1 as I hydrolocked it over a year ago and blew cylinder 3 open. I’m going with a 12.5CR CP piston set, forged rods and Darton sleeved block. I was toying with the idea of going with an F22 crank while I’m at it, but am wondering how this would work with an ap1’s ecu if at all. So with that I was wondering if a Greddy eManage Ultimate would be enough to work with this set up?

Thanks!

Other then the compression increase, many of us have been successful running the ap1 ecu with an f22 swap, so I don't see a problem from that aspect. Another 1.5 point compression increase might be a factor though in some conditions, if you don't have 93+ or the ability to retard some timing - that part im not as comfortable with. So in that case, and of course the ability to refine the tuning of the engine overall (lower vtec etc), the Emanage would be beneficial - assuming you can get a tuner that knows what he is doing with it, that's the trick.

awesome, that’s pretty good to hear. Sorry if it’s a dumb question, but do you know with a any degree of certainty that the ap1 ecu will work with an eManage? Also do have 93 oct in my area so that’s a plus.
