Default FlashPro Q's

So im new to this flash pro toy

Currently i have a SOS reflash and plan on a custom tune in a couple of weeks.
my question is can i modify the redline without messing up the reflash or custom tune? the reason i am asking is if i happen to leave my car with a mechanic or dealer i want to lower the redline to 4.5k that way they dont go out and have fun with it. Also are there any other features in FlashPro that match up to Cobbs "Valet tune"? Thanks!

I did exactly that. I lowered the redline and limited it to 2 psig.

Just copy the file and ad valet to the end of the name and load it on the FP. You can have two tunes on it, so that can be your 2nd tune.

Lowering the rev limit would be totally fine, and would not require any changes to the tune. However, raising it would require that you tune for the newly added RPM range.

That said, I think it would be better to create a valet tune using the throttle map, not the rev limit. This way you can just take away the power as you see fit without making the car dangerous. For example, if they guy pulls out in traffic for a test drive, and gets creamed because the rev limitter kicked in unexpectedly at 20 MPH.

BTW, be very careful about when you choose to do a flash. Make sure you have a laptop and cable with you, or you may wind up stranded with a car that won't start. It's happened to me multiple times.

If you pay for a dyno tune, you should make backups of the calibration on more than just 1 computer.

Good advice. I lost mine once and Mase sent it to me as he saves them. I emailed it to myself, that way its there and you can access it easily.
