i recently did a full engine swap but the ECU sent with the motor is Japanese and it wont work because of the immobilizer.
1. can it be flashed to accept the immobilizer? (90 bucks at the stealership even if it does't work)
2. is there any way around the immobilizer?
please help

 

I thought the japanese ECU's doesn't have an immobilizer chip?
Anyway, you can swap these separate chip-boards from your old Ecu to the new one. So you don't have the dealer to reprogram the immobilizer.

 

You'll need to ground a connection, TBH i cant remember do a search for spoon ECU installation.
