hm,my tires don't break loose, and yea you are right, there is some lag, I've had peak RPMs of 9450, and I don't think that I had hit a rev limiter then, but honestly idk

I need to hurry up and have retainers replaced so that I will feel more comfortable, I'm comfortable w it being 9200 and occasionally seeing 9300

set it at 9200rpm, then get the shift beeper from modifry, and have it do the final beep at 9k. honestly, your not gonna notice that 400rpm loss.

just wanted to add some more info

so my redline is now set at 9200 rpms, while i was accelerating the other day, i hit 9410 rpms, but there was no knock count, i think it has something to do with fuel cutoff vs the other type of cutoff?

this was in 1st gear and the wheels were spinning, so maybe no load, too? idk, just stating additional information

I'm glad it only went 200 RPMs past your limit. I would have expected more than that with the wheels spinning in 1st gear. I am almost certain that the reason why it can't hit the exact target RPM is due to latency in the RPM calculation. The ECU has ti time how much time there is between each pulse in the RPM wire, and average those samples with previous samples. By the time the averaged / calculated RPM value hits 9200 RPMs, the actual crank speed is well past 9200 RPMs.

makes sense, i wonder if it's different for each gear too, because before, the few times when i would hit the rev limiter, it would be in 3rd or 4th, so revs weren't increasing as fast as they would in 1st, so the highest rpm i saw with a 9400 rev limit was still under 9500
