Thumbs up Map sensor Hondata, Omni, SOS or OEM?

Hi all.

Info
AP1 my03. stg2 cams, spring and retainers, s2 TB, K&N FIPK, AEM EMS 30k miles

I recently had issue with rough idling (car vibrates and rpms drop below 1k) and bogging on WOT, also noticed slightly rich mixture and black smoking on the ex tips.

I read about map sensor issues and started working on the car.

Disassembled the TB cleaned carefully, cleaned IACV. Noticed the map sensor had a hairline crack I applied a little force and it cracked up in two. So it was definitely leaking.

Now.

Local H dealer have OEM for $90.00 but I'm worried about OEM sensor lifespan.
So I was reading about Omni, hondata and ScienceofSpeed direct replacements. I do not intend to go FI or Nitrous, so I'm just willing to know if they are better than OEM in lifespan/quality/durability matter.

Will they last longer than OEM?
Which one is best to tune with AEM EMS? (AEM 1 series) I'm average computer skilled but noob at tuning.
Can someone point me out correct values to set these sensors.

Help is appreciated.

Our sensor can certainly be used if you will be using an AEM EMS.

I'm not sure where the crack was, but I will say that the sensor we make has a steel sleeve that is pressed into the fastening holes to prevent the plastic from cracking. The factory has a similar, but not as rigid stamped metal design.

That being said, the factory MAP sensor is perfectly capable for your use. I'd be 100% comfortable with using it for your application. Plastic can break, so just be sure to attach it using factory recommended torque.

thanx for your response.

The crack was along the squared base of the sensor where it meets the flange. It follow the original assembling piece and then go to the center.
I pressed the flange a bit and it cracked right away leaving the internal exposed.

Before that the car was in excellent condition, I guess I will go with oem and try to cover it with some material to shield heat a bit. (like reflective tape used for ac lines in turbo apps)

Thanx Chris
