the ems came with a comms rs232 cable(which my laptop does not have a port for). the rs232 is a 9 pin and the laptop has a 12 pin i think.

anyway, but i connected the usb and the instructions said it will pop up a window showing new hardware found and where to install the drivers etc, but it just makes the usb connect sound and thats it.

the ecu was had the cars fan running, the cluster was showing info, all that. but i could never connect. laptop acted like the aem wasnt even plugged in to it.

i wanted to install it and drive on a basemap to my tuner, but i just decided to keep riding around slow as balls on the oem ecu to get to him. my aem wideband is working great, i never get to even 10vac, so its no big deal. just wondered if anyone else had this issue.
