Email the datalog to gernby2002 at yahoo so I can see why it won't load. I would guess that the 100 knock counts are probably due to you still running the stock tune instead of a Hondata calibration. If so, then they aren't real knock counts.

Hey grenby did you ever release the updated softdyno? I know there was some talk on it about a month ago, just wondering if you every got around to posting it up.

Here is the latest Soft Dyno. I don't have time to create the "How-To" for the new features, but I think the original features still work the same. The biggest new feature is the Batch Import and Averaging. You can now create 1 large datalog with several WOT pulls in it, then export the whole log to a CSV, and use Batch Import to process it. It will automatically create the indivisdual CSV files for all the runs, and save them to your hard drive. You can view the 3 plots individually, or you can view them with a 4th curve that is the average of the 3. I find this very usefull for tuning, since it allows you to get much better detail by removing "noise" and reducing the smoothing and RPM sample size. You can then save the Average as its own plot to compare against others.

Click on a cell somewhere to make sure the graph isn't selected, then double-click on the numbers on the Y-axis to open the "Format Axis" dialog box. Then select the "Scale" tab and change the min / max values as desired.

NICE PROGRAM GERNBY! GOOD WORK!

I do have a suggestion for the software. Can you make it so it factors drag coefficient, car weight, gear ratios etc.... just like a real dyno would give you? Just some ideas I'm pitching in to make the program "different" then others out there

Edit:

The program doesn't allow changes (to input logs) on my end. I have the latest open office software. I'd like to post up some graphs from both kpro and flashpro that I have.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions!

I have considered adding functionality for drag coefficient and weight, but believe that would have limitted value for its real purpose (tuning). I never intended the soft dyno to be used to compare different cars or different scenarios. Although, the soft dyno in the public form isn't nearly as helpful for tuning as it would be if I had more time to document the hidden features. It really makes fuel tuning super fast and easy (ie copy / paste).

I don't think I understand your comment about changes to input logs. Are you saying that if you click a button to import a new log, it doesn't work? I haven't tried using Open Office, and have no idea if it supports VBA.

BTW, I know that Microsoft does have some downloadable viewers that are totally free for things like Power Point and Word, but I don't know if they have a free Excel viewer.

The trial version of office lets you view a document of every MS program.

No worries it was just a suggestion! Yes, it doesn't let me input a log with open office.
