hondata has discussed this in a thread about how the ecu always has a certain amount of retard.
i loved my rsx's kpro - it has an option to flash the cel light with every knock count... and i could adjust timing by gear
backinblack, what's your mods? hondata didn't find any gains with timing with their n/a test mule on 91 pump. if you are still n/a with typical bolt-ons you should have an a/f target of low to mid 13s. also to see the knock count do a 3rd or 4th gear WOT pull and add kcount to the graph. you can graph the total kcount and kcount by cylinder - if you find knock with a certain cylinder you can retard by individual cylinders - sweet.

there is already a knock templete setup that shows all the knock varables or you can create your own templete to graph whichever sensors.
you can right click in the graph area and select define templates for access via the options tab.

Easy. If the ECU hears knock, it must be from the cylinder that is on the power stroke.

comparing the hondata stock map vs the toda map they retarded timing in 13 cells on the high cam and all others are the same.
two at 5900rpm in columns 9 & 10
two at 6200rpm in columns 9 & 10
three at 8000rpm in columns 8, 9 & 10
three at 82000rpm in columns 8, 9 & 10
three at 84000rpm in columns 8, 9 & 10
so i don't think you find much with timing adjustments

FWIW, I am using 93 octane fuel with 1 step colder spark plugs, and my AFR is in the high 12's / low 13's depending on humidity. Atmospheric pressure is about 970 mBar. I discuss it more in this thread.
