okay i am boosting my 04 s2000 and I would like to keep it so i can get state inspection in texas. what ecu is the best to use?

 

Kpro. Just had my inspection done without a hitch, took like 15mins. All they care about are the readiness codes.

That's pretty much your only choice. No other options for an '04 that'll keep the OBDII port that I'm aware of.

 

Use a Droid, it can tune any car.

 

If I decide that passing state is not a problem what would be the best to use?

Best bet, though, ask your tuner which they prefer to work with.
