Where to route wiring for wideband
Got a plx wideband on the way and not quite sure how to route the wiring to the primary o2 sensor. In my old car there were rubber plugs in the firewall but not that I can see on the s2k. Help!
I just ran some wires for my nitrous switches through the firewall. Right under the clutch master cylinder you will see a rubber boot with wires going through the wall. Just pull that off and you will be in the cabin and can run the wires through there. They will come out right above the dead pedal and you can run it under there to your gauge. Idk if that's the best way to route a wideband but that's what i'm going to do when I get mine. Plus there is a spot in the fuse box right there under the dash where you can get power only when the ignition is on so you can power the gauge.
Cool thanks! So I have another question. If I have the Greddy optional wiring harness for the a/f hookup do I need to do anything extra to simulate the narrow band besides cutting the c17 ecu wire and splicing it in?
I'm following this diagram by MugenRioS2k. If I need to use this, what kind of capacitors do I need?

The plx wideband is supposed to be auto correcting/calibrated so I assume adjustability is along the same lines. I just hooked up my emanage so nothing really to compare as far as datalogging goes.
Actually I just did the wiring of my wide-band last night so it’s fresh in my head.
Just follow the factory O2 sensor wiring from your cat and loop it over your transmission tunnel and follow the stock wiring. I tie-wrapped it every 8” roughly with a little bit of slack. Next feed it up through the engine compartment close to the firewall being careful to avoid hot areas. You will find a rubber boot where the stock clutch pedal is located. Pierce a hole there and feed the wires into the cabin from there.
Are you guys using an a dedicated O2 sensor for this wide-band? I noticed the car from the factory has one near the base of the header and one more at the cat. I actually ran a third one into the BERK HFC for the meter readings. Has anyone else done this?
