Default *UPDATE ON PG2* TURBO EMISSIONS

Hey all S2K-ers,

My car will not pass emissions due to my ultimate racing turbo kit set-up. I'm running an AEM EMS.

I COULD USE ANYONES HELP PLEEASE!!

Does anyone know anyone at emissions? Im in Illinois (60018)

OR

I was thinking I would swap out my dash board with a stock s2k, since that's where the VIN is, then take my friends s2k (same color, no turbo, etc) to emissions to get it to pass. Would that work? I would swap my plates as well.
- Would this work?
- Any other ideas?

MY MODS:
MOTOR:
- Garrett custom S2000 spec turbocharger
- Fabricated tubular-Steel turbo-manifold
- Polished manifold heat shield
- TiAL wastegate
- 2.5" downpipe
- Cat-less cat (essentially a test pipe, but looks like a cat)
- Ultimate Racing 3" dual exhaust system
- Stainless Steel Wastegate Dump Pipe
- 3" polished intake pipe with K&N air filter
- Large bar and plate front mount intercooler
- 2.5" stainless steel intercooler piping
- TiAL blow off valve
- RC 550cc fuel injectors
- AEM fuel pressure regulator
- AEM EMS standalone ECU
- AEM single channel wideband O2 sensor (UEGO)
- SPA technique dual EGT/boost gauge
- Autometer Air/Fuel ratio gauge
- Walbro 255lph fuel pump

Need more info:

What did not pass? Visual? Sniffer? How far off? OBD2? Codes? Etc.

LOL just "pay the man".

I'm in the same boat and was thinking worst case cenario I would convert the car completely back to stock for smog and then re install the entire turbo kit.

Guess you do what you got to do.

If there is no visual, all you need to do is pop in stock injectors, sotck ECU, unplug boost coupler.

That will pass emissions. If you can scale down the injectors enough, you might not need to swap them out or the ECU. If you had meth injection, you could lean it out a little and give it some meth and she will run pretty clean, except for maybe NOx.

Will a high flow cat or OEM cat not help? That and some tweaking on the EMS.

not to be an ass but, you got to pay to play, reinstall all stock parts, get inspected, reinstall turbo!, cant wait until they start emissions back here in florida, a whole new way for income!

If Illinois is an OBD2 inspection place the EMS is not OBD2 compliant. The Ecu will not let their computer connect to the ecu. Id go with the easy way change injectors and put the stock ecu back in.

yea i agree with everyone else here. The best thing you can do is either convert back to stock or find someone who can hook u up but that costs money. otherwise no more complaining because when you put on a turbo kit you should have EXPECTED THIS TO HAPPEN!!

not being a dick... the truth MUST BE TOLD!! no sugar coating
