Default 1220sl oil leak

After getting new springs but in the shop told me my ct 1220sl is leaking oil in the intake elbow and by the filter.... I called CTSC about a week ago to see about switching to a 1200 because I wanted oil fed and they told me... the 1200 is about $1800 brand new if you want it you have to buy it full price or you can try and find a used one and sell my current 1220sl

So far everything running fine and i would like to solve it before any problems. Can I exchange my blower for a 1200?????

How do I check the oil level on the blower???
I just added about an ounce of oil to the blower

Where do I start...?

The blower cost is actually over 2k, they are probably offering to buy your blower for 1k like paxton did with me.

Secondly, there is a dip stick on top of the blower. Check your level. Drain if needed.

Thirdly, my 1220sl leaked too. Drain the oil. Removd the blower from the car. Remove all drain plugs in the blower. Thread tape and reinsert the plugs.

If itis a seal issue. Send it into paxton for repairs. If you want to say screw it all, see if your still within waranty period and get a new 1220sl. Otherwise upgrade to a n1200 engine oil feed model and all of these worries will be gone.

I do not recall off hand, two plugs, and one you use for the drain.

I already had my blown up n1220SL at paxton when they offered to take mine for 1100, and I buy a new one at cost. Unded up paying 1300 I think.

Talk to both, see who makes you happier.

As far as I know. Paxton is the only company that will take trade in credit because they are the manufacture. Everyone else is a middle man and has no interest in taking an old blower. I think the trick is to be able to talk Paxton’s inflated retail price down to Comptech/SOS levels. $1700-1800, and then get the additional credit for your trade in on top of that, if at all possible. That’s the strategy I'm shooting for when the time comes.
