Default 12V source while cranking

My autometer 3376 Boost gauge needs a 12V accessory source that HOLDS its power while cranking...

I used the iginition source in the under dash fuse panel but that won't hold 12V while cranking so my boost gauge reads inaccuratly..

i COULD make a switched 12V straight source from the battery or fuel pump but that's a bit too ghetto for me..

I was wondering is anyone knows where to find a 12V source thats switched on by accessory ( moving the key to ign. ) and holds the power while cranking...

Thanks!

White w/ red stripe (10-12 gauge wire) on your ignition harness is 12v constant, even when cranking. But is also switched to off when the key is off.

There are several ways to tap into that, but that's the wire you'd want to use.

Great! I'll try to peel something off the outer layer and solder a wire to that one!
