Thanks Cherry04, I actually shortened the screws, they were like 2 1/2 inches, oh forgive me, I sould use Metric measurements for any and all comments about my Japanese vehicle! They were like 40mm long. I chopped em down to 25mm. Still same problem. Perhaps I'll try that.

 

Get the gasket from Turbonetics and then torque the wastegate back down after it gets hot.
