I'm not sure I understand the point of the fan shroud. It looks like it's blocking 30% of the radiator, so air can't flow through it unless the fans are running. Doesn't that eliminate the free cooling from the air pressure differential when you're at speed?

I agree, that is why my fabricator and I agreed to not make a shroud on my radiator

I think a 10.99 is a little too fast for a Supercharged S2000 thats under 500whp.

Fan shroud is necessary! Very Necessary!!!!!!!! No fan shroud means reduced cooling effiencty at lower speeds - especialy at idle when it is needed most. those fans will not pull air through ALL of the radiator without it at any speed.

thats kind of what I thought. plus so what if the fan runs more. my chevy truck's fan runs all the time.

the effective cooling capacity of a radiator is determined by the CFM rating of the fans and cooling surface of the radiator. A fan shroud turns high CFM fans into a virtual vaccum cleaner, pulling air thru the cooling surface. Removing the stock shroud - (there is one you know) results in air flowing around the fans at high speeds - just like removing the cooling panel would let air flow around the radiator. Which brings us to the other factor in improved cooling - the radiator. the only way to increase the cooling surface is to go with multiple core radiators. I have a Mishimoto performance radiator - dual core, but Mishimoto now makes a triple core radiator for the S2000. Here is a pic of my engine compartment as it stands now. Still have a bunch of work, mostly the ECU and appearance stuff.

What injectors are you running? My car made an easy 389whp by 6500rpm and the pump started to loose constant flow. I'm putting an order in for the fb dual hanger with 2 fb340 pumps will my 1000cc injectors keep up?

9.5:1 comp built engine
3.2" SOS pulley (made 20.5 psi on e85)
1200blower.

Fpr is set at 40psi which I think is too low anyway.

Let me know what u guys think.
