I think it's more so pushing the downpipe even father back into the firewall. I've never seen the modified 3" vband up close

It will fit the manifold better since the covers are smaller. get a .82 T3 housing. if you want to get a borgwarner i dont think it's going to fit because of space constraints. the compressor housing is very close to the valve cover as is the exhaust housing. i think with my turbo blanket on there is was touching the valve cover. If im not mistaking, if you go to a larger borg warner the housing is going to be much larger and you're going to have a problem.i would also not run a BW unless it was in a TS housing. if you want to change turbos i would seriously give a consideration of selling the hot parts kit( manifold, downpipe, dumptube, wastegate, intake, turbo) and purchasing a different setup
Remember that boost pressure is volume vs temp. 15psi and 25psi can still be moving the same mass of air, and it still will be a problem with the turbine housing. The .70 housing will work but the turbo needs to work harder to accomplish the same thing, and it drops efficiency a noticeable amount.

Bypassing the turbo with the wastegate sounds in theory like it would work, but in practice it doesnt. You lose too much pre-turbine velocity and pressure and therefore power.

If not the new S256 fmw should fit and can make up to 650 but also only a .70ar. people got me scared that its to small lol. Dbo do you not think the S362 fmw will be to big to fit this setup?
The diameter will be the same but placement will be different, and you will need to modify the downpipe a bit.

I had to weld a 3" flange to the back of my s200sx because the turbo and downpipe would not fit with the 4-bolt to v-band adapter. The modified 3" vband housing with the s300sx fmw would essentially be the same thing and should fit with whatever set up you have.

Adding a flange on top of the flange on the manifold my also create a problem. I have to lengthen my down pipe beacause of this. Mine barely rubs the passenger floor pan right after the flex section.

The s300sx with the T3 .70 hotside should get you to 600whp no problem. The s200sx will as well. I have seen the s256 maxed out before on e85 and it made about 650whp I think

I dont think my standard S256 will push much more than 550whp on E85. The FMW should make 600+

I bought Pfab ELT T4 mani a few months ago. I was actually looking for a T3 at first. But i just bought a T4 exhaust housing to fit on my Precision Turbo. 600WHP would be awesome!! I'll be happy with 500whp though.

And like everyone else have said, I think .70a/r should make it to 600whp.
