740hp stock block
This is awesome LJ! This is telling me that I should be just fine at 700 whp on e85. Especially if you are going to be beating the crap out of it at the track to see how well the engine holds up.
Keep us posted and let us all know if anything fails on the engine. That way we all know what the limits are. I'm betting itll hold just fine.

What turbo are you running?

LJ, since you have good experience with the S, do you think -8 oil lines are sufficient on a oil filter relocation kit? I'm just curious what you think since thats what I run and it's been this way since 03 but I havent been pushing 650 whp this whole time nor reving to 9500 rpm either. WHat are your thoughts? Thanks man.
These motors run a pretty high oil pressure. Im thinking you should be fine but in all honesty, it doesnt hurt to have more volume. Im running -10 to my relocation. One thing you want to keep an eye on is the e85 thinning the oil out. We run a heavier weight oil and we change it quite often.
^^Thanks LJ. I do change my oil every 1000 miles and use Amsoil Syn 10w40. Its supposed to be a good oil for neutralizing the acids. One thing that weird with mine, and I dont think my Defi D-gauge oil pressure shows the correct pressures since its been flipping out at times, but when over 3500 rpm the pressure is about 75-80 psi on the gauge and when VTEC kicks in at WOT, it drops to about 60-65 psi and just holds there all the way to 9500 rpm. Does this seem correct for the pressure to just hold after VTEC? I would have thought the pressure would climb back up as rpms go up. I wonder if changing to -10 relocation lines would help anything?

Dont start saying tick....tick.....tick just yet. Nobody knows what the stock block can handle yet. But my guess is it'll take a lot more than we think. I'm betting it will last a long time.
