Add another victim to the ACT crankwalk
i'm reading my oil pressure off the oil relocation. as i said before i expected it to read low, especially at idle.
normal driving produced somewhere around ~80psi, so i wasn't concerned since i am told those are normal levels.

out comes the motor - whats the next best option for this block? is it salvageable at all, or should i just get a new bottom end?
any help would be appreciated.

devs,
i have heard the same so far. billman thinks it could be fixable; inline pro basically said it was trashed.
in either case, the motor has to come out. if i stay on schedule with what i have left to do (which i wont!) the motor will come out tomorrow.

Its most likely trashed, we would never use it. We have a few Evo short blocks here that had some bearing issues and wore threw the Thrust washer and started going into the block. So that is probally what happened on your motor also. Im going to say this was a result from oil pressure, your car cant tell what kind of clutch is in there. Any aftermarket clutch is going to have more clamp load then a stock one so at that point it could happen with any after market pressure plate.

Also Oil pressure at the back of the block and to a sandwich plate shouldn't be any different because they are both before the filter.

if im not mistaken there were two NPT ports on the adapter (greddy), one before the filter and one after, but I could be wrong...
