The air injection system doesn't alter engine performance in any way.

It's not used by the EMS so most yank it. Go back to a stock PCM and you'll want it back on the car for CEL free operation.

 

Most ppl on here confuse an EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) with SAI (secondary air injection). SAI is just to pump extra air to the cat to aid in getting it up to operating temp quick there is no performance loss by having it.

 

The S2000 has never had an EGR system, and most confuse the 2.

 

EMS myself.... I think I'll yank all this crap out too, I'm a weight junky myself.

 

I would buy an EMS just to get rid of all that crap.

 

weight would be the first thing i would say, also just cleans up the engine bay, the less shit the better

 

I yanked mine out with just the emanage blue. Although it would throw a code it was just taking up space like the gigantic air intake box. Now that I am full EMS I tore even more. Lighter is better I would love to clean up the engine bay further in the future.

Yes, increased performance due to lack of weight. You can also remove the factory charcoal canister for a few more lbs.
