Keep in mind the differences in midrange torque, which can be as important as peak hp depending on your goals. The kw does seem to be a clear winner in this regard.

Don't shoot yourself in the foot because you'll want more power in the future. 400whp is great, but 500whp is freakin fantastic. With SOS, you can upgrade from a N1220 to a N1200 for $65 when purchasing the kit. My SOS kit with a 1200 makes 319ft-lbs up top (DynoJet) and over 250ft-lbs at 6K RPMs with a conservative tune. I'd like to see the new KW kit make similar or better numbers for all the hype, LOL.

Yep, the 1200 just works better at any boost level, from 9 to 19, no sense in dealing with a 1220 at all, and as for the Rotrex blowers/KW, im not overly impressed. There has to be some other strong draw to these Rotrex kits then just output, to want to deviate from SOS/Paxton 1200. I think SOS/Paxton is more reliable over the long term as well. Rotrex blowers make more heat, spin faster and wear out faster.

Granted that's a TTS kit, but the same blower as the optional upgrade on the KW kit. 500whp, 300wtq, 20psi.

What hype do you speak of? I just see a lot of comments and questions as there is something fairly new and different at hand.

The KW kit is a great kit, but the numbers posted in the link are from virtualdyno. I have virtualdyno plots that go up to ~550whp/350wtq. I just take that with a grain of salt. My point was why just settle for something that is practically maxed out. Boost is addicting.

Very good points. I would humbly suggest driving one with a C38 vs the N1200 making similar power. I personally like the Rotrex better. Much smoother, quieter and more midrange grunt. This is hard to see in a dyno (as I'm sure you know) IMHO.

If you're doing the new KW kit, you'll be making around 400+whp. You'll need a flashpro to tune it, a heavy duty clutch (get the ACT pressure plate + OEM disk and a lightweight flywheel), ID1000 injectors, bigger fuel pump and a 4bar map sensor, expect to pay about $2.5k on top of the supercharger. Add more cost if you aren't going to install yourself, probably another $1k in labor. These are rough, off the top of my head estimates

Good luck!
I finally got around doing my compression test at a shop. I dont know these numbers are good to be true. I brought it into the shop and they let the car cool. Then he went on break and will be back later. About over an hour passed. When he was doing the compression test. I notice he didnt remove the fuse and he had told him but he said it wasnt needed. So he did the test and they were all 265 all 4. Are those numbers to good to be true they seem to high after reading other thresing about 180-220. Should I go retest them. Its at 94k miles or im doing a heck of a job taking care of it?

Seems high. Just bumping this up for you, Super.

I want to say oil on the cylinder walls and valves can throw the compression numbers off. Not 100% sure though.

Post back with your update and pics!
