AEM and battery issues...
I recently installed a factory new aem ems. I didn't start the car for a week and the battery is DED dead. Its a fairly new battery less then 6 months old and the temp here in GA hasn't been cold. Is this normal or do I have a short somewhere??? TIA.

well, from my experience with the AEM EMS, and I'll have to thank that other gentleman for alerting me to this, is that the EMS has a start-up calibration that either needs to be activated or needs fine-tuning. I brought this to the attention of my tuner and he advanced the timing just a wee bit upon start-up.
Did your car start off with labored cranks and get progressively worse? If so, I'm pretty sure the ems is trying to communicate with the rest of your car's electronics and something has blocked it's communication. Take a look at your start-up calibration again. It may not be your battery.

I recently had a similar problem.
Are you using any of the switched 12V going to the AEM as the trigger for power on other devices?
I was using one to trip the relay that powers my UEGO and boost control solenoid. When the car is turned on the relay is tripped and the devices are powered. Unfortunately when the car is turned off the line to the AEM stayed at 6V and kept the relay closed and it flattened my battery (and also may be the reason my AEM died).
