I think they still have a hand in the product. Their current version of the software looks them same. I think AEM Licensed it. This is clearly outside of AEM comfort zone from a technoligy stand point. Software developers cost buck. It would make sence for AEM to leverage GEM's dev teams and not try to recreate the wheel.

still need a car! Youll get a free harness and a discounted AEM EMS from Mike@Autowave, who will be building the harnesses. I will not be profitting from this at all, except to open my turbo system up to the 06+ S2000's.

I think you'll find that it isn't as simple as just making a harness. A harness alone won't address the MAF/MAP issues.

Time will tell...
Actually it will with an EMS, you'd be able to ditch the MAF. The probelm with AEM is the DBW and I can garentee you that it will not happen. You will have have to switch to a cabled throttle body. The same thing has been going on with the NSX for years now. They make a box for the OBD-I version but not the II because of the DBW. I personally have contacted AEM on this is what they have told me.

[QUOTE]
"There is a special version of AEM software for DBW throttle, but the whole problem is product liability our insurance is for competition use only, definitely not road use. If you wanted a race ECU. then there would be at least $1500 non-recurring additional cost.
How different apart from DBW throttle is loom and ECU connector? Could you fit mechanical throttle?"

Richard Armitage

"Currently we do not offer a DBW version of our EMS for the NSX application.

And as far as the returnless fuel system, with my old SRT4, just had to run lines back to the tank for the return. I havent observed the fuel rail setup on the 06(Ill do that today, need to go to Honda). If its the same bolt pattern, just get an aftermarket fuel rail and regulator. Itll cost more, but if you want to turbo/SC an 06, ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Cody, I take it you are talking about dynomike over on Prime. I've looked into his work, and from what I've seen it's not just a 30-1002 box. According to him it's been modified (don't know if that's to make it OBDII or not). Now I agree that there can be a box made for the S2000, I never said there couldn't be I said AEM will never make one. I know mike charges about $800 more for his box than the 30-1002 box and I would assume that the S2k box would be around that same price. Which to me just seems a little over priced without knowing what he does to the EMS.

I don't know I though this was a place to discuss these things. I thought I'd throw the information I had out for those of you who may have been interested in it. From now on I'll keep it to myself since it seems to frusterate people.
