yeah the further you retard the timing the more likely it is to do that. basically youre getting it to a point where the timing is so late that its igniting unburnt fuel in the turbine housing/exhaust

I think mine is set at like 4000rpm and I can build I think 5psi. I'm gonna have to look again, either way my launches are pretty efficient on the tirespin/grip scale.

The "switch" is always on. That means aem looks at the variables in the settings.
So as long as the car is below 10mph ( user variable) the car will enter 2 step rev limiter.

I've mentioned this before and figure I should mention it again before everyone goes out and tries this, by using the 2step you run the risk of dropping a valve due to spring failure. Its happened on a few motors already.

You want fireballs aka 2step(since this probably the biggest reason for most people), you'll need a upgraded valvetrain otherwise your on borrowed time.

i have setup anti-lag on 100's of vehicles, the only reason you end up with damage is if its already broken from the get go or if you hold it on the anti-lag for like 20 minutes you will burn something up. For its purpose of launching the car it's fine.
