I keep seeing posts like this, I feel like you are the most elusive "high end" user.

You always have a ton of great things to contribute, yet I have no clue what shop you work for/associate with.

I'd love to check your setups out. Idk if its modesty or what, not saying it's a bad thing, and I'm sure you have your reasons.

I'm just curious, PM me if you'd like.

Are all you guys having coil issues using the AEM EMS? The only coil trouble I've ever seen with stock coils has been with the AEM. They are known for burning up coils even when the dwell is correctly set. I've seen it multiple times in person.

FYI the CBR coils far out perform the AEM pencil coils on the bench and the Dyno. The AEM ones are just a bad knock off. The only unfortunate problem with the CBR coils is they require plugs with a removable top which limits your choice. I don't have any experience with the AEM smart coils.
No, I'm not having any coil issues. Never burned up one stock coil with a AEM, V1 or V2. There just comes a time where a "stock coil" isn't going to cut it.

Not sure what you are referring too as far as the CBR coils far out performing the AEM pencil coils on the bench and dyno?? My dyno numbers and track times tell a far different story.

You should give the AEM smart coils a shot, the best ignition I've used to date. And the best priced as well.
What ignition system were you using to drive them? I have probably taken new AEM coils off 6-7 cars using a CDI system and replaced them with used CBR coils and solved major misfire issues. The AEM ones also tend to melt in high heat road course applications it seems like they use a lower temp glue.

I'd like to try a set of the smart coils just to see but I'd be nervous given AEM's track record with ignition systems in general.
