Default Alaniz Head

I recently purchased Kane.s2k's Alaniz ported head. I have a built block with sleeves and 9:1 compression CP pistons. The head has 1.5 mm oversized intake valves and 1 mm oversized exhaust valves with AP1 cams.

Questions:
1. Will I have any valve clearance issues with these oversized valves and my pistons ?
2. I plan on re-tuning anyway, but any issue with driving (no boost as IC is off) to the tuner with new head and old tune?
3. What kind of power can I expect to add with this new head?

thanks for any input...

I think you may have the valve sizes incorrect. Alaniz built a few heads and never went larger than one mm on exhaust and 0.5mm on the intake as far as I am aware.

You should have adequate clearance with the CP pistons. That is the setup I am running.

You can drive a short distance but just be very easy on it before the tune.

The power should go up 10 to 15% with a good tune.

Heads up to others, Alaniz is a great head carver and a thief. Do not deal with him, he will screw you take your money and goods too. He has takes several people on this board for over $10,000 total that I am aware of.
Check with Central Florida Turbo about the heads he stole from them if you doubt me.
Finding a used Alaniz head is good, Congratulations to the OP.

Always more increase in size on the exhaust side since that is where the gains are .

It's probably an error and should be 0.5 instead of 1.5.

If the head is off you can physically measure them to remove any doubt.

Anyway, it's a mute point.

Bottom line is congratulations on getting one and let us know what the out put is when you dyno.

Be sure to have the head checked for straightness before you install it.
