Default amount of oil after

i have installed everything for my inline pro turbo kit. i have to upload a base map onto the ems and fill the oil and i can start it. my question is, how much if any extra oil over the stock capacity would i need to add? or is this just a fill a little and keep checking it until its full? any help would be appreciated. thanks!

If I remember right, the manuel states 4.8 quarts when there was oil in the engine previously (~5.2 quarts if the engine was just rebuilt). For the added volume of my oil filter relocation kit and somewhat large turbo (gt35r) I fill mine with ~5.5 quarts with no problems.

Also its hard to go by the dipstick as that won't take into account the added volume your system now incorporates. All it does is measure the oil level in the oil pan.

the dipstick should take into account the added volume because the oil that would have been in the pan without the turbo kit is now in the added lines etc... To be honest though, its not going to be that much more... just make sure to check the oil in the same place (level ground) and the same amount of time after you turned the motor off so you get a good reading of how much oil you have and if anything has changed...

well when I mean added volume, I mean the volume inside the new lines, turbo, etc. The dipstick only reads how much oil is in the oilpan (which is not calibrated for the extra volume) so even though it says full, it might not be completly full in your case.

However, no its not that much. I add ~.5 quart more then usual (5 quarts about) just in case.

I guess it depends on the length of your new oil lines/cooler/relocation kit, but mine took an extra quart over stock, which was about 6.5 quarts. After the first oil change though, I could just fill it like stock since the oil never left the lines/cooler when I did an oil change. Without adding that extra quart though the car didn't want to hit VTEC as soon as the engine got a little on the warm side.

Fill the engine with oil until the dip stick reads full, start the engine to get the oil circulated, turn off the car, and add oil until the dip stick reads full. This isn't rocket science after all.
