Im running 750cc injectors but was already on them with the Greddy kit because I am on E85. Many of you guys are on meth, so the RC550s should do the job. Suction pipe could be used from the greddy kit, but it was 2.5 or 2.75" and my intake on the turbo was 3" so figured a 3" would be a better match (could of used a 2.5" to 3" coupler if I didnt want to change it). Turbo obviously different, oil drain is the same, I reused the oil drain fitting from the Greddy, WG actuator was from teh Greddy as well although had to make a simple bracket to hold it on (you could also buy the bracket from Garrett) Oil feed line was modified, had to put another fitting to feed the garrett turbo. Thats about all I can think of.

For me it was well worth it, seeing we dont have access to any off the shelf manifolds down here. Only costs a couple hundred apart from the turbo. And seeing the T518Z from what I can tell is an exactly the same as the T518z for the SR20s, the T518z is highly desirable/sellable and should fetch good money from the Nissan SR20 boys.

Great stuff Mark.

I am glad that you are enjoying the new power band.

Good to see the difference between the 2 turbo chargers. I think this turbo is very similar to the T618Z and is such a good bang for buck.

If I could fine just one person to teach me how to eliminate wheel hop that would be awsome. How to set up the suspension ect. Parts, what ever.
Stiffer shocks and springs. There are many causes of wheel hop, but the suspension is too soft for drag in the S. You want the wheel to stay down.

^^^ OFF topic sorry,

now back on topic:

Did you notice how the Greddy exhaust manifold runner inlets are discernibly smaller than the OEM exhaust gasket?

From what I recall when I installed my Berk header, the OEM gasket and head exhaust outlets matched - same size openings.

Seems perhaps that Greddy in their infinite wisdom used the smaller inlets to "control" boost creep - perhaps? As you can see from the pic below, there's about 1.5 - 2.0mm ledge/step from the head to the header. That's really a NO-NO for efficient gas flow. Steps like that are used in headers in the opposite direction to help with scavenging. Greddy's is backwards!

I matched-ported the header inlet to the OEM gasket and also "aligned" the Greddy header outlet to the turbo inlet flange.... really poor alignment ! All these obstructions in flow cause turbulence. There's probably not a huge loss in power if you just leave it as is, I just hate to see stuff like that ! Hope it doesn't make the T518z explode.... (i ported the WG too)

Before & after

Revenge, went with a .86ar like you.

EngineerX, yes I did notice that there is quite a large step and was contemplating doing what you did. I measure mine and had 1.4-1.8mm. Ill be pulling the kit off again in about a week and will do what you did. I sort of put this back on really quickly and left excess amounts of lines as I didnt know if it would be what I want so I could change positioning of coolant lines etc.

Car is great fun, took it for a quick spin in the twisties and the car performs great. Once out of first gear, you are always in boost and the power is on tap whenever you need it.

How capable is the E-Manage with lets say 750cc Injectors?

Joey the 750's should be fine with the emanage. I however have been told by countless people to go with the Injector Dynamic's 725's. Ptuning is opening an account so they can get me them. I hear they are great, I would highly consider them. I should be running them in the next few weeks.
