I dont see the point of trying to find custom trans swaps from another import. If you want to do something custom slap in a liberty or gforce trans . 5000 times stronger and replacement parts dont require you crawling through junk yards or forums.

PPG has decided to start making synchro sets again for our car and stocking replacement parts on the shelf. Which would get rid of my main problem with them. I think the cost is around 5k. Which is about the same price it would take after figuring out all kinds of problems making things work with a swap.

Why would anyone want to swap in a rx7 rear ? We have options like r200 and ford 8.8 already. Swapping in something that is weaker just seems stupid. If you look at the ls1 swapped rx7's the rear usually doesnt last long .

Agreed. G-force trans in mine, along with a 8.8 diff, 930 CVs and 1000 HP axles (not DriveShaft Shop, thank you). Definitely the way to go / build it right the first time.

is the g-force trans a 5spd or auto? what all is involved in running a g-force trans? also are you driving the car on the street. Streetability is the main factor. Im not worried about running 7s i just want the car to last for a little while. When the car breaks I guess I'll decide what i'm going with.
